Calling all Grounds Maintenance Operatives in Leicestershire!
Platform Property Care has permanent opportunities for Operatives to join our Grounds Maintenance Team based at our proposed depot in Melton Mowbray and covering our Estates and communities. This is an ideal role for someone who loves working outdoors and creating great looking environments for our customers.
This is an exciting time to join as we expand our Estates Services into a new locality covering our communities in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. We are looking for several operatives to join our in house Grounds Maintenance team as we plan to open a depot in Melton Mowbray.
What could you be doing?
You will be responsible for looking after the green areas in and around our estates. Your duties will include tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, brush cutting/ strimming, hedge cutting, shrub pruning, planting, weeding, and litter picking.
Some things we need from you:
You’ll be motivated and passionate about making a difference to our external landscape
You’ll have a full UK driving licence – this is essential as it is a mobile role
You will really enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
You’ll have a good Health & Safety knowledge
And have some relevant grounds maintenance/ gardening/horticultural skills, experience or qualifications
Initially you will be working in a small crew that will be considered mobile and covering Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and other areas, until a depot is confirmed but we intend that all operatives in this team will be based at a depot in Melton Mowbray in the long term.
The working pattern for this permanent role is a permanent annualised contract:
Summer (March – November) 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
Winter (December – February) 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday
