We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join us on our transformation journey, managing our dedicated payroll team and service. This role will manage our extensive payroll services across multiple payrolls including Council, Schools, Pensions and Third Parties alongside providing comprehensive Teachers Pensions services for all Haringey Schools. We have a challenging payroll service with high volumes of work and demands some of which is due to our ‘ageing’ SAP platform which we continually strive to maximise alongside our other HR systems. Your proactive, future focussed leadership and collaboration across HR will support HR Transformation and improve efficiency for the organisation.
Our fantastic team, comprising 2 Payroll Specialists and 2 Payroll Officers, eagerly awaits the leadership of an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Manager to lead our service.
We are currently in search of an experienced payroll manager with expertise in Local Government payroll, possessing an expert knowledge of Payroll, Pensions, HMRC, and payroll legislation .

The ideal candidate will have a background that includes:
- Expert knowledge and proficiency in SAP payroll
- Previous experience in Local Government
- A CIPP Qualification (preferably)
- Prior management experience.
- Proven track record in digital transformation to enhance and streamline services
