Our client, a leading E&P organisation is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on an initial 12 month basis. This is a varied role which will involve you supporting the Accounts Team and wider organisation. Their offices are located in the City Centre, but they do have hybrid on offer. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting and providing support to the JV Accountant and AP Accountants.
- Monitoring and processing employee expenses according to company policy.
- Documenting and streamlining expenses and travel processes, uploading them to the IMS system.
- Maintaining the expenses system, ensuring its orderly and efficient operation.
- Collaborating with the Finance Team to deliver training on VAT codes for expense claims.
- Assisting Accounts Payable in processing employee expense payments, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with employee contracts.
- Providing correct coding for third party travel invoices to support the Accounts Payable process.
- Addressing and resolving any employee expense queries in a timely manner.
- Contributing to the preparation of month-end accruals and journals.
- Conducting periodic ad-hoc audits to ensure compliance with company policies and document the findings.
- Reconciling SAP vendor accounts for company credit cards to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
- Providing support to Tax/HR for annual PSA/P11d filings with necessary documentation.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review and verification.
