An energetic and proactive individual capable of using category, consumer and customer insights to develop, influence and implement sustainable joint business plans that support achieving business and customer objectives/ambitions.
You'll develop and deliver customer and channel strategies which support business and personal objectives, with understanding and knowledge across a number of areas: Joint business and brand activation; promotional strategy; category and merchandising; NPD and portfolio management; supply chain excellence and stakeholder management. You will need excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders across the business and within your customers to effectively execute plans, highlight opportunities and mitigate risk. You will prepare and manage successfully trade negotiations, utilising internal expertise to ensure best justifications are put forward to influence the retailer on range, promotions, NPD and commercial support. Monitor and report on customer sales performance, recommending corrective actions and gaining agreement to solutions to achieve and exceed budgeted numbers and objectives. You will direct involvement and input into the S &OP process, on a monthly basis, ensuring improvement to and achievement of forecast accuracy targets and delivery of key commercial and business priorities.
- Sales execution and Commercial experience, ideally gained within a Grocery, FMCG, sales environment.
- Experience at a national account level. Familiarity with P&L with proven track record of budget delivery.
- Excellent commercial skills: good negotiator; analytical; working knowledge of S&OP process; able to develop and communicate compelling commercial proposals; experience of working cross functionally to deliver customer plans.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication skills: influential; persuasive.
- Excellent relationship builder- establishing credibility with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Systems - knowledgeable on complex spread sheets and able to prepare impactful and influential PowerPoint presentations.
- High learning agility – able to learn new hard and soft skills with ease e.g. navigating retailer portals or adapting style for different stakeholders
