· Working hours: · 8-hour shifts, Week 1 Shift 6AM – 2PM, Week 2 Shift 2PM – 10PM

POSITION SUMMARY: The coordination of dispatch activities for all goods manufactured at our Sheffield site and shipped to both national and international customers. In addition to this you will ensure we maintain a flow of goods to and back from our approved sub-contractor vendors.
Off-loading of raw materials from delivery vehicles and processing receipt documentation into the ERP system. Handling raw materials in preparation for issuance to the cutting cell. Delivery of goods to the respective Business Unit around site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Manage physical finish goods stock in our dispatch warehouse.
- · Prepare product for shipment by verifying location and moving to staging area. Verification of inventory prior to dispatch in line with release documentation.
- · Prepare and submit customs documentation in support of international customer shipments.
- · Ensure customer OTD (On Time Delivery) is met by working to strict daily shipping schedules and identify any issues.
- · Liaise directly with customer appointed shipping agents to arrange and coordinate freight.
- · Liase with Technical Release, Planning, Quality, and inspection as required to facilitate timely shipment of product in support of OTD targets.
- · Ensure flow to the business is achieved through material movement external and internally to ensure lead times are met. (Sub-Contract) Chasing orders daily and communicate to the relevant areas.
- · Create, issue and receipt purchase orders for sub-contract activities.
- · Maintain computer receipts and ERP System.
- · Off load raw materials from delivery vehicles using forklift truck, and/or manual handling.
- This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake any other duties that may reasonable be considered appropriate to your role/level.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
This role will involve working in a busy despatch environment where heavy lifting of goods is required. The role will require lifting to ‘Manual Handling Standards’. A fork truck licence is essential, as is a full UK driving license, in addition we would ideally like you to have the combi-lift certification which is an upgrade to the standard counterbalance forklift license.
Teamwork and a conscientious approach to work are a must as well as excellent time keeping. A flexible approach to work is vital in order to satisfy business needs at busy times.
