What you will do
As a Warehouse Operative at the Letchworth Distribution Centre, you will be at the heart of the customer fulfilment process, ensuring customers receive the best and most efficient service. You will be working in a friendly team environment within a warehouse environment, picking, packing, sorting, and handling a variety of products; heavy lifting (20kg max manual handling).
As a Johnson Controls employee, you will be required to adhere to all safety requirements and ensure the highest levels of housekeeping are maintained, as well as adopt the One Team Value as a personal driver.
The normal working hours for a Warehouse Operative, are either the earlier shift from 8am to 4pm, or the later shift from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Receiving of goods
Distribution and replenishment of goods in the warehouse
Picking of goods against fulfilment orders
Packing orders to the required standard and specification
Loading/unloading of goods (parcels or pallets) on or off lorries manually, or with Manual Handling Equipment (MHE)
Replenishment of work area
Pack Orders with adequate packing materials to prevent damage in transit
Accurate and timely work
All duties may involve working with or around various Powered MHE

Preferred
Warehouse work experience – inbound supplied, receipt, replenishment, outbound picking, packing, order and shipment confirmation, etc.
Knowledge and operation of Enterprise Recourse Planning (ERP) systems
MHE licence – VNA / HLOP / CB / reach / counterbalance
Knowledge and experience of working with Carrier User Interphase portals and labelling
Knowledge of shipping dangerous goods (DG)
