Job Description
Role Purpose
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for Wood Mackenzie's operations in the EMEA region. Your responsibilities will encompass monthly reporting, reviewing and posting journal entries, managing statutory audits, and fulfilling various reporting requirements, including financial statements.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of comprehensive monthly financial reports, providing valuable insights to support key decision-making processes
- Take charge of the review and posting of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the entire process of statutory audits, liaising with external auditors to facilitate a smooth and successful audit
- Prepare and submit all necessary financial statements, adhering to regulatory and reporting requirements
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining a high standard of compliance
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and procedures, implementing enhancements to optimise efficiency and accuracy
- Participate in various ad hoc and special projects, such as ERP implementation and conducting due diligence for potential business acquisitions

Qualifications
About You
- Fully qualified accountant qualification preferred but not essential (CA/ACCA/CPA)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or working in a Big 4/Mid-Tier accountancy firm
- Strong knowledge of UK financial reporting standards (FRS 102) and accounting principles
- Demonstrated expertise in managing statutory audits and financial statement preparation
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
