Contract Type: Permanent, part-time
Hours: (up to 25) Flexible working pattern available to cover at least 3 days per week (Monday to Friday)

We're excited to be on the lookout for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to come and join our experienced Accounts team at Ford Colchester on a part-time basis.
You'll be reporting to our Market Area Accountant, Luke Mead who has almost 7 years experience working with Lookers, and began his career in Accounts as a Purchase Ledger Clerk over 12 years ago. His experience and knowledge are second to none, and you'll be learning from the best! In addition to Luke's support, you will also benefit from the support and guidance from the rest of the Finance team on-site.
Within this role you will be supporting with the processing of purchase orders for the Colchester dealership, therefore accuracy and attention to detail are key within this role.
Responsibilities:
- Inputting Purchase Ledger Invoices
- Liaising with management regarding authorization of invoices
- Daily processing supplier’s invoices and credits
- Resolving queries with suppliers
- Reconciling supplier statements
- General administrative duties
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have experience working within a busy general administrative based position who is ready to take on a new skill. To be successful within this role you do not need prior experience of working within a Purchase Ledger Clerk role or experience in the Automotive industry, as we can teach you everything you need to know!
Given the nature of this role having an ability to work well under pressure, manage your time effectively as well as thrive within a busy environment is essential. Furthermore, communication is key, you will showcase this in varying methods in this role; whilst not forgetting you will be exposed to sensitive information at times, so being discreet and protecting confidential material is a must.
