Learning Support Assistant | About the Job:
- Secondary School Learning Support Assistant role
- Sept 21 - July 22 - term-time only contract
- Full-Time, Learning Support Assistant role running until initially July 2022
- Salary: £20,500 - £21,000 (paid on a weekly PAYE basis)
- Liaising with the Assistant Headteacher, SENCO, SEN Manager and Teachers regarding the requirements of students and to develop and implement strategies
- Regular in-house and external training to enhance your professional development
Learning Support Assistant | Job Requirements:
- An excellent track-record of academic achievement including strong GCSE and A-Levels
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree preferably from a Russell Group or Oxbridge University
- The ability to handle sensitive issues relating to students
- The ability to form good working relationships with students, parents/carers and colleagues
- Adaptability and flexibility in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative
- An ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues
- Some previous experience of working with young people with learning/behaviour difficulties
