Family Time Worker - Full Time (Grade 5)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Lancaster to appoint a permanent part time 22.2 hours/week Family Time Worker.
Family time workers will focus on planning and delivering the requirements to enable supervised contact between children and their parents/carers as prescribed within family/court order arrangements and within agreed formal plans. Supervised arrangements will be structured in such a way that both the environment within which family time takes place and access to support for children, young people and families is safe, calm, respectful, engaging and fulfilling. Family time workers will ensure that the needs of children and families are appropriately considered in regard to the family contact experience and that sessions are safe and secure, through appropriate risk assessments.
Family time workers will operate mainly (but not exclusively) during the daytime and twilight operational hours which normally could potentially range between 8am and up until around 6.30pm. Flexible working is required and in order to facilitate access and meet the needs of families, some involvement in evening and weekend contact sessions therefore may be required.
Family time workers will be line managed by the appropriate Senior Family Support Worker-Neighbourhood
This position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro–rata basis.
