Reporting into the Head of UK Security, the Security Manager is a key integral role which requires you to be in charge of overseeing security policies, procedures and operations for Alstom business in the UK and Ireland. He/she will contribute to the performance and value creation of the cluster by guaranteeing the protection of Alstom people, assets, sites, projects and sensitive information and by implementing crisis management processes.
What That Means Day To Day
You'll be part of Alstom where you'll be in charge of all active and passive measures allowing Alstom to guard itself to any kind of malicious action. Developing and implementing security measures to ensure a secure environment for Alstom people, assets and activities. Implementing measures to ensure economic security and to protect Alstom sensitive information. Rolling out crisis management processes and a dedicated organization in this area. Other aspects of the role include:
- Supporting with the overall strategic and tactical management of Alstom Security Policy in UK and I
- Deputizing for the UK Head of Security taking on responsibilities for the UK & I Cluster.
- Assessing internal and external threats identifying and mitigating the security risks for the UK & I
- Supporting internal/ external Security guards, coordinators or contractors on sites and projects within the UK.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the Head of Security and Alstom senior leadership team on security related issues and ensure coordination with all Security stakeholders (external and internal),
- Performing a continuous threat assessment (malicious actions against Alstom people, sites, projects, and operations) to implement effective preventive measures
- Implementation of security measures to ensure the safety and security of travelers coming to and from the UK in collaboration with the Chief Security Office.
- Participate in commercial procurement processes within the UK & I contributing to the cost effectiveness of the security provision within the UK & I
- Create and maintain effective work relationships with the security network within the UK (security providers, security managers from other national or international companies
- Ensure compliance of all required security measures within the UK in alignment with the established security policies from the Chief Security Office,
- Support with the implementation of country crisis management procedures, according to the Group Security Policy. Manage Security crisis and serious incidents within the UK.
- Organize the protection of Alstom significant events in the UK (meetings, events), implementing adequate security measures beforehand to prevent any adverse incidents

Mandatory:
- Law enforcement, security related qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive knowledge of national, regional security environment and security issues
- Previous experience in police services and/or armed forces
- Qualified protective security manager (experience in protective security roles)
- Experience in multicultural environment and matrix organisation
- Teamwork, leadership, and pedagogical skills
- Communication and influencing skills
Desirable
- Previous crisis management
- Counter Terrorism/ Advanced knowledge of criminal law
- Supervisory experience
- Experience at senior level with commerical responisibilities
