Our client is seeking an Interim Finance Manager for an immediate start.
The successful candidate should have recent NHS Finance experience and will be available to commit to a minimum of 12 months.
Duties:

Manage a team of finance staff

Identify and monitor of cost improvement programme schemes (CIPs)

Ensure any budget changes are properly approved
-
Ensure the general ledger accurately reflects delivery of CIP
-
Produce costing information for budget managers to support the workforce planning process

Ensure Month End Reporting adheres to timetable
-
Work with cost centre managers to analyse annual budget and prepare forecasts
-
Lead the development and reporting of frequent financial KPIs and alert Division management of significant variances from targets

Prepare and review journals and lead the reporting for the closing financial position

Work directly with staff at all levels within the Divisions to support them in developing 18 month rolling forecasts and 3 year plans

Provide analytical support throughout the Divisions to support effective management of resources

Lead investigations on complex financial enquiries and ensuring appropriate assistance and advice is provided.

Support and manage the monthly timetable and identify/report key risks and opportunities

Maintain a schedule analysing key items reconciling the year-on-year bridging items

CCAB Part Qualified Accountant

Experience of working within the NHS

Proven track record of managing staff
