Quantitative Analyst

As Barclays Quantitative Analyst, you will be a part of the QA Prime Services team that supports rapidly growing Prime Services business. In your role, you will be involved in model development, modeling support, you will also be responsible for market data calibration and desk support. The focus of the role is on Delta 1, however, previous experience in pricing linear derivatives is welcome.

What will you be doing?
- You will be responsible for driving and delivering on the project pipeline for Delta 1
- Designing and implementing new models and analytics in Prime
- Being responsible for providing transparency into models via UIs and thorough documentation
- Challenging and enhancing existing models within our pricing framework
- Being responsible for delivering automated trade recommendations that require minimal ongoing support
- Collaborating with Front Office and Technology to deploy our analytics to production
- Being responsible for providing tactical analysis on risk, PnL, and revenue opportunities
- Providing daily support for front office trading activity
What we’re looking for:
- Masters in financial mathematics or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/Engineering)
- Working knowledge and understanding of linear equity derivatives (index futures, total return swaps on indices/custom baskets/single stocks), equity ETFs, as well as FX and IR hedges
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills (probabilities, stochastics, integration theory etc.), familiarity and practical experience with statistics and data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain complicated concepts in a simple, non-technical way and being able to work independently
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Delta 1 pricing/hedging/market making/optimization experience is a big differentiator
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills and familiarity and practical experience with statistics and data analysis
- Experience with cross-platform /cross-technology development (Windows/Linux) and workflow automation
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g. Jupyter, Dash)

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
