WhatsApp BroadcastThe Broadcast team owns Status, the stories product on WA, and Channels, a new 1:N comms medium. This role in for the Status side of the team.

Software Engineer (iOS) Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for the iOS platform
• Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS programming techniques
• Build reusable iOS software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms
• Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science
• Extensive hands on experience in iOS UX development
• Solid knowledge of latest best practices for iOS app design and Swift development
• Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
• A history of supporting other engineer’s move faster through detailed and timely code reviews which maintain a high quality bar

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on product development experience on other key platforms: Android and www
• Experience in the Creator space
• Experience with x-platform UI development frameworks, ex. Bloks
• Track record of pushing team level Better Engineering efforts to completion and rallying the team for support
