As a Manufacturing Engineer, your role will span full support of both new product introduction and the improvement of existing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Design new systems, equipment and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.

Detail the scope of facilities required to support immediate and near-term growth of product development and delivery.

Be responsible for the specifying and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment, making sure you get the best fit solution.

Liaise with other engineers to ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result.

Identify faults, investigate production problems and repair equipment quickly and efficiently.

Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout.

Create processes and standard operating procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas.

Identify, document and capture within the Lentus IP Process, any and all arising intellectual property, innovative approaches, manufacturing techniques and product concepts.
The Person
-
Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline

Prior experience of developing and implementing manufacturing methodologies

Ability to read CAD drawings

A working knowledge of SAP would be highly beneficial

Good practical experience and understanding of Lean manufacturing

Experience in developing, maintaining and improving manufacturing documentation

Excellent problem-solving skills essential as are first class communication skills.
