The Humanities Division is looking for an IT & AV Assistant to join our dynamic IT team. This is an exciting new role within the Humanities IT Team which would suit someone who is just starting out in their IT career. The IT Team provides a wide range of IT services to academic and administrative staff in locations across Oxford in support of cutting-edge research and world class teaching in the Humanities Division at the University of Oxford.

About the Role
As our IT & AV Assistant, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of a customer focussed, professional IT and AV support service. You will work as a member of our divisional IT team across a number of sites around the Division providing first-line IT and AV support by e-mail, MS Teams, telephone or in person, remotely or onsite. You will report to the IT & AV Officer, and be responsible for carrying out regular IT checks, event and room set ups, equipment set up and maintenance duties and fault finding on IT/AV equipment, amongst other daily duties.
About You
To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you will need to be someone who strives for excellence and enjoys providing high quality customer service, whilst also ensuring what you deliver is completed in a safe way. You will have great communication skills, and be confident in the ability to communicate to members of the public, students and academic staff with courtesy and politeness. You will also have a positive attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work, and be comfortable when priorities suddenly need to change.
