Workshop Technician

At British Airways, we take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, with and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are.

If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.

The Role

The Powerplant Support Facility (part of Aircraft Workshop Services at LHR) is looking for dynamic proactive Workshop Technicians to support the ever changing business demands and to provide Engineering Support to our Customers, and ultimately the BA Operation. The Powerplant Support Facility carries out full Quick Engine Change (QEC) requirements on the V2500 and Trent 800 Engines types. Your role would be to perform and certify for repairs and/or maintenance tasks performed in accordance with approved technical data, to meet operational demand. The Powerplant Support Facility is bases at our Main Operational Base at Heathrow and works a 4 on 4 off 12hr Day shift.

The Workshop Technician coordinates and manages workload priorities in a safe and secure manner, to deliver world class engineering solutions to our customer. You need to be an experienced and confident engineer, a flexible team player, able to multitask, lead by example, to enable you to work within an established team within the Aircraft Workshop Services section.

Ideally, we are looking for Engineers with previous experience working in an Aero Engine Workshop environment, working with Engine QECs and Engine LRUs. We will provide full training and support for this exciting role.

If you are interested in being part of the team, helping to lead, develop and implement significant change to our business, this could be the job role for you.

At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work.

Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
