What To Expect
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Combustion Test & Development Engineer to join our concepts development team. The Combustion Test & Development Engineer will have the opportunity to be exposed to cutting edge engine concepts and will be heavily involved in the early concept and development of the product life cycle.
As a Combustion Test & Development Engineer, you will be responsible for power unit Performance, economy, and emissions attribute testing, ensuring that this is safely executed, high quality data is produced, analysed with high integrity and the outcomes communicated effectively. We expect everyone within our organisation to have a focus on continuous improvement, focussing on refining our processes for efficient delivery of value.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Principally responsible for delivery of engine attribute demonstration, ensuring demonstration and development tasks are delivered on time and to the required data quality and delivery standards.
Ensure tests executed to correct procedures and operating conditions, accurately and produce high quality data.
Establish, maintain, and communicate accurate test plans, that clearly identify the timing and specific requirements of test facilities required.
Heavily involved in new engine concept and development while considering euro 7 legislation.
What You’ll Need
Ideally experience and proficiency with either ETAS, INCA, ATI & AVL Concerto software.
Strong technical background with proven knowledge of engine engineering.
Knowledge of engine components and systems and a strong understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within an engine engineering environment.
Able to prioritise workload and lead issue resolution (with support) either individually or as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience within engine product development or design environment.
Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments)-based engine optimization procedures quality tools.
