Intern Experience
Your internship begins with an MSCI Orientation which gives you a perfect foundation for the weeks ahead as you learn about our culture, values, and business model. Your learning continues ‘on-the-desk’ as you work through live projects and gain first-hand experience of how all teams at MSCI play a role in creating solutions for our clients. You will have a network of talented and approachable colleagues who will support you through every stage of the program.
Your key responsibilities
- As an Index Product Intern, you will work on a specific, meaningful project related to our Index Product line. When assigning projects, we will consider interns’ background/studies as well as current business needs, which may include:
- Analyzing the investment landscape and trends of a particular asset class, exposure, or region, to inform our strategy
- Market research and competitive intelligence-related projects
- Monitoring and effectively communicating the progress of a strategic initiative, including as relates to client feedback
- Help with the design and development of a new client solution
- Scenario and sensitivity analysis modeling to inform our pricing strategy
- Messaging and positioning related to new product or market segment
Specific knowledge and skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and good team player
- Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence

Desired qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (completed or in progress), in a relevant subject, e.g., economics, finance, financial engineering, mathematics.
