The role will be based at our Bracknell campus.
The salary range for this role is set at £25,200 - £33,377. Shifts cover alternate days and nights so a shift allowance of 25% will be paid.
This position is a permanent contract.
About the role
The main purpose of the role is to protect the assets and people on site, ensuring the safety of all users of the buildings, the buildings and building contents. You will task manage and lead a small team of Security Officers and ensure there is the appropriate level of cover to meet the needs of the campus in the following areas; Personal Security, Physical Security, Incident Management. From time to time support other activities as required to holistically protect the business operation.
This team is based on the Bracknell campus and operates on 4 shifts to cover a 24/7 service, 365 days per year. The shifts are 12 hours each and you will operate on a 4 on, 4 off rota basis, with a contract of an average 42 hours per week. Shifts cover alternate days and nights so a shift allowance of 25% will be paid.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Matrix managing the team which delivers the day to day security model for the area of responsibility to protect Partners, visitors and assets
Security Services - understanding and demonstrating full compliance with Head Office Opening and closing Procedures to minimise risk to our business.
Customer - comprehensive knowledge of how the campus operates and relevant Partnership procedures. Providing advice and guidance to Campus users as required.
Risk Management - understanding and using the relevant systems and procedures to prevent theft or damage of Partnership property.
Acting as the Chief Evacuation Marshal during drills and evacuations as required, completion of post evacuation reports
Having a full knowledge and understanding of all relevant policies, procedures and laws
Essential skills you’ll need
Experience in leading teams of people providing front line customer service
Proven ability to act on own initiative and take responsibility for decision making
Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce professional communication to a range of internal and external stakeholders
Basic Security knowledge
Desirable
Proven experience in the corporate security industry
Good knowledge of CCTV, access control and current security systems
Current SIA licence would be an advantage
A current First Aid Certificate would be an advantage
