Working pattern/flexible working - This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will be split between working from home, attending meetings at the London/Bracknell Head Office locations, and undertaking site visits as the need arises.

About the role
The Technical Central Specialist team provides specialist advice and support to the Partnership. The Asbestos Manager role is brand new to the team and the wider business, providing focused support and technical advice for Asbestos related activity across the Partnership. This role will provide focused support and technical advice for all asbestos related activity across the Partnership.
You will be responsible for overseeing the management of the asbestos risk for all project activity delivered by the Property Directorate teams. You will be acting as a gatekeeper for the authority to progress project activity to provide surety that the asbestos risk is thoroughly and consistently managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and develop new processes for the management of the Asbestos risk
Create and manage a system for the auditing for asbestos management compliance
Support the regular review of asbestos management compliance
Manage the asbestos Re-Inspection programme
Approve and monitor the performance and SLAs of he approved Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractors
Essential skills you’ll need:
Extensive knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, and the associated ACOP, including demonstrable evidence of managing the implementation of compliance at other similar organisations with those regulations.
Experience in managing Asbestos in a varied multi-site portfolio, including retail environment, distribution and hotels.
Experience in undertaking a variety of roles in the Asbestos Management industry, including Surveying, Analyst and Project Management roles. Qualified to BOHS 402, 403 & 404, or equivalent.
Demonstrable understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015, project delivery/management and general construction knowledge.
Successfully able to manage a number of priorities simultaneously.
Continuously self-motivates to work independently and also works well in a team environment.
Desirable Skills:
Asbestos Management experience >10 years.
Undertaking an Asbestos Surveyor role experience for >3 years.
Undertaking an Asbestos Analyst role experience for >3 years.
Undertaking an Asbestos Project Management role experience for >3 years.
Confident and able to represent with externally parties/agencies on all technical and legal requests
Experience in using Microsoft Office packages, (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) & Google Workspace packages (Gmail, Sheets, Drive etc.)
