About the role
The School of Archaeology is seeking to appoint a well-organised and excellent communicator with good IT skills to join its academic support team. Based in a busy, friendly office in central Oxford, your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service and administrative support for the School’s three postgraduate taught courses (which together attract an annual intake of between 50 and 70 students) and you will act as the first point of contact for the majority of queries arising from staff, students and applicants. Other duties include assistance with the administration of the admissions process within the School, the day to day operation of the courses and you will also play a critical role in assisting with the organisation of assessments and written examinations.
About you
You will be educated to A level or equivalent experience, have excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively and have good attention to detail. You should have excellent IT skills and have the ability to judge where to use initiative in order to deal with varied and complex queries and where to seek assistance.
