Job Description
An opportunity has arisen in our Trust for an assistant psychologist wishing to work with children and young people (CYP) within a paediatric setting. You would be supporting the clinical activities of the community paediatrics clinical psychology service, which provides care and treatment for CYP and their families presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism. There would be the opportunity for interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary working, and you would receive weekly supervision from a Principal Clinical Psychologist.
- Contribute to the community paediatric clinical psychology service, as appropriate and under the supervision of the principal clinical psychologists. To include development and delivery of intervention groups for target children and families
- Assist in the development and implementation of research and ethics protocols and projects, and draft papers for publication in peer reviewed journals as require
- Support the department with regular audit and service evaluation activities as directed by the principal clinical psychologists.
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with the professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures.
