Moreover, we need to transition beyond commodity energy, providing innovative services that help our customers save money and meet their Net Zero goals.
The Transition team, part of the Transition & Change Function, is core to these aims. Our role is to ensure the transition is as fast as possible, balancing competing priorities, proactively spotting and mitigating roadblocks and setting the transition agenda.
As a Transition Portfolio Analyst, you will report to the Portfolio Alignment Manager and will be responsible for supporting the business and the transition team in mobilising new change, in alignment with our transition plans and enabling conversations around decommissioning, where required.
You will be fundamental in understanding and clarifying the drivers, scope, requirements, and customer impact of the change. Supporting the Portfolio Alignment Manager in preparing recommendations where contention between business drivers and transition plans highlighting the risk and options to resolve.
There is opportunity to develop and gain recognised business analysis or project management certifications.
Key Accountabilities:
Work with all PMO roles and business leads to analyse new change demand, to clarify scope, requirements, risks & dependencies
Review, challenge and evaluate customer & business impacts of new change and how the change aligns with transition plans
Drive awareness of requirements across business units when needed to highlight synergies and dependencies
Support mobilisation of new demand across the Classic Energy Portfolio, drawing together multiple stakeholders, communicate recommendations as needed and be relied upon to support the definition and clarify transition plans as part of change mobilisation
Support follow-through of recommendation to execution, to ensure business delivery
Provide support and challenge to the functions as appropriate
Build/own a single hub for the Energy change community to showcase the Change Delivery Framework and develop best practice guidance for Waterfall and Agile delivery
Support and assist the Portfolio alignment Manager with the funding investment process
Maintain portfolio management frameworks and templates whilst responding to guidance queries
Provide analysis and presentation materials for critical decision making
To succeed in this role, you should have experience of strategy, business analysis, business planning or project management (desirable) as well as an understanding of Centrica, BG, its competitive environment and the energy value chain. In addition, experience of working in high-performing teams and engaging senior stakeholders is key as is a track record of supporting projects and preparing presentations or reports for senior management (with oversight).
