Between £80,000 – £85,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Company Car + Company Bonus + Benefits

We are seeking a Health Sales Manager with proven experience in participating in bids of significant complexity and scale in the public sector, with specific focus on bidding and winning work with Healthcare / NHS clients in the Facilities Management space across frameworks where the ability to step and repeat efficiently and effectively is key. The role will focus primarily on Healthcare FM opportunities, but prospects to work across the UK and Europe portfolio will also emerge.
As part of this you will:
- Create and maintain Capture plans for all qualified deals under your ownership on CRM in line with the SMS (Serco Management System)
- Work directly with customers, the wider Business Unit, and functional leads to gather, assess, validate, and document customer requirements key issues, concerns, hot buttons, and decision-making processes ahead of ITT
- Conduct site visits, customer meetings and other client interactions to improve customer relationships and gather the information required to inform Bid/No Bid decisions
- Take ownership for bid sections and service lines, leading the solution, bid writing and working closely with commercial and SME’s to build the financial models. Work with the Principal Lead to bring tender sections together as a final bid product.
- Bid write delivery of method statement and technical responses – working with Business Unit Operational teams, SME’s, and sector experts. Creating and maintaining knowledge centre content and working with Bid Writers.
- Lead or support hand over to operations from the Bid team once the bid is won, ensuring that a full and robust understanding of all aspects of the deal is embedded within the contract team, maximising probability of successful execution.
- Ensure comprehensive lessons learned is carried out at each stage, with specific plans to incorporate learning into future activities.
What you’ll need to do the role
- Sustained Sales and Bid experience, either as a Sales or Bid Manager or in another key role within a Bid Team ideally with Healthcare or Soft FM experience
- Commercial and financial understanding to ensure risk / reward / price are understood and clearly articulated
- Experienced in bidding methodologies, and ability to deploy these consistently, considering options to adapt to suite circumstances
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – active listening, ability to articulate customer’s environment and bid requirements to all management levels
- Must be proficient in various Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word
- Experience in structured methodologies such as Prince2, Shipley, Miller Heiman are not essential but advantageous.
