Following an internal promotion, Gentoo is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the People team. The role is based at our Sunderland head office, with hybrid working options. In this fast-paced role of HR Advisor, you will provide flexible generalist HR support and advice, to deliver a best-in-class HR service to the Gentoo group. You will also support the Senior HR Business Partners to deliver the People strategy and objectives ensuring alignment with our culture and values.

Experience working in an organisation of a similar size delivering and supporting with:
HR Advice: Providing generalist HR advice and guidance to organisations, always ensuring employment legislation is balanced alongside a business-focused approach.
Employee Relations; Supporting and advising on the delivery of disciplinary, grievance, performance and sickness activity, including the preparation of cases, documentation and attendance at these meetings.
Project Management & Delivery: Supporting Senior members of HR in the delivery of HR projects in line with our People Strategy.
- Talent Management: Supporting the delivery of Talent Management, succession, and retention strategies for areas of responsibility.
Resourcing – Advising and participating in recruitment activities for business areas where necessary.
Manager Capability Development – Supporting with the coaching and development of managers, ensuring coaching is incorporated into the HR support and advice provided to managers on all HR matters.
HR Policies and Compliance – Assist and support the development of HR Policies and ensure the application of policy is adhered to where appropriate. Ensuring compliance with all internal governance, statutory, legislative and regulatory requirements. With an awareness of and compliance with current and future employment legislation.
Project Management & Delivery: Supporting Senior members of HR in the delivery of HR projects in line with our People Strategy.
