VJ Technology are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to cover the Edinburgh area. The role is full time, 40 hours a week Monday - Friday.
Salary is £40,000 per annum plus commission & Company benefits.

Your purpose
The key element to the role is to develop, plan and work against targets for a postcode based/ defined sales area and/or allocated customers. Plan and develop approximately 60 existing accounts and allocate additional 40% of the time to new business development. Strong focus on field activities including site visits. Ability to sell across the full VJ Technology portfolio.
This role is covering the Edinburgh area, the VJ Technology office is based in Glasgow.
Your day-to-day role
· Achievement of Revenue and Profitability targets.
· Create a strategy for portfolio accounts ensuring you are driving increased product mix and margin in line with the VJT Value Proposition.
· Forward planning to maximize effectiveness in the field with a balance between existing and new business accounts.
· Manage site activity within the geographical area, liaising with relevant Regional Sales Manager(s).
· Detailed pre-call planning to ensure customer visit objectives are met.
· Preparation for upcoming visits, calls and events and document of outcomes of these visits via the CRM system. Minimum: plan business target for the meeting, set minimum, target and first call offerings and document success/loss or next steps.
· Identify development needs with Regional Sales Manager to ensure continuous self-development.
· Initiate query management of allocated customers and pass information to Internal Sales Team to ensure query resolution as effectively as possible.
· Forward orders and quotes to Internal Sales Team for processing.
· Measured against territory revenue and E2E margin budget.
Skills you possess
· Proven relevant experience in Sales and Customer Experience.
· Experience in B2B industries.
· Strong analytical and data management skills.
· Fully IT conversant including CRM and MS Office experience.
· Excellent relationship building ability.
· Have experience in working within a fast-paced e-commerce business and or start-up.
· Clean and valid UK drivers’ licence.

Special Considerations
· Regular travel for meetings/training with overnight stays required.
