Darcy Clothing is a unique specialist online retailer of historic menswear based in central Lewes.
The business provides high quality clothing for costume professionals worldwide in film, stage and TV as well as the general public. We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver quickly and accurately.
Demand from the film industry has increased greatly, so we wish to recruit a dedicated Assistant to support the General Manager.
This role may offer long term career development opportunities.
Responsibilities will be varied and will include but are not limited to:
- Aiding the General Manager and director with various administrative tasks.
- Answering calls and emails with customers and suppliers where necessary and directing to relevant person.
- Raising and emailing purchase orders to suppliers, keeping accurate records.
- Generate reports from the relevant software for the general manager.
- Maintain an organised filing system of various documents such as invoices and purchase orders.
- Order office supplies.
- Ensure contact lists and information are up to date.
- Minor IT work such as SEO’s and meta data.
- Conduct data entry where required using the correct systems.
Required Skills:
- Ability to adapt to different tasks and prioritise.
- Computer literacy, attention to detail and a perfect command of English Language
- Excellent communication skills
- A knowledge of Shopify and/or other web based stock management system and accounting systems such as Xero are an advantage
- Administration experience
- Strong organisational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £26,000.00 per year
