We are looking for a Reward Manager to be based at our site in Annesley (NG15 0DR), this position involves remote work for 4 days per week with some travel to key Yusen sites across the UK as and when required (proposed start date is November 2023).

The Reward Manager will initially work standalone and be responsible for providing special advice and technical support on reward related matters. This position will report to the Head of Reward & Benefits and will play a key role, working with internal and external stakeholders in designing and delivering reward and recognition policies.

You will be the in-house specialist, providing leadership as well as keeping abreast of market prices and research developing trends to drive appropriate change in plan designs and benefit offering, therefore, we are looking for someone with strong proven experience of developing and delivering long term reward and benefits including systems and analytics.

The role will offer a salary of 55k and 6k car allowance per annum.

Responsibilities:

1. Management of Reward and Benefit Provision
  • Management of Pension: Responsible for management of pension schemes including day to day process relating to company pension arrangement and auto-enrolment.
  • Annual Salary Review: Management of the annual salary review process including union pay negotiations and agreements
  • Contractual and Voluntary Benefits: Management of annual and long term bonus arrangements, management of the day-to-day provision of contractual and voluntary benefits, including annual review process and periodic review meetings ensuring we are getting the most from our 3rd party benefit providers
  • Project managing ad hoc reward initiatives.
  • Monitoring statutory updates related to Reward, including taxation implications and advise on issues applicable to the HR and payroll teams to ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring reward expenditure and costs including annual review of cost savings achieved through benefit negotiations and salary sacrifice benefits.
  • Delivery of annual Total Reward Statements
  • Maintain and develop Benefit & reward information on Yusen communications platforms (intranet, employee App etc) to ensure it is kept up to date, relevant and is engaging.
  • Conducting structured and ad hoc benchmarking analysis.

2. Relationship Management
  • Work closely and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the wider business
  • Provide direct and hands on support to employees in the UK on all Reward related matters
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with 3rd party providers

3. Change Management & Information
  • Manage a range of change initiatives relating to reward and benefits
  • Play an active role in communication, ensuring the right people are included to guarantee engagement and successful implementation
  • Maintain accurate data and information in line with Company Policy and the prevailing legislation; using information to support business improvement; reporting and presenting information as required at all levels.


Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification is desirable
  • Proven experience of auto-enrolment pension legislation
  • Demonstrable Reward Manager experience in a medium to large company (preferably in a multi-site environment)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot tables, conditional formulas etc.)
  • HR and Payroll systems experience – Ideally ResourceLink (Zellis)
  • Process orientated with the ability to multitask
  • Highly analytical in approach to developing recommendations, collecting, extracting, analysing and manipulating large data sets
  • Experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations
  • Knowledge of developments and current challenges in Reward and Benefits
  • Solid knowledge of pay structures, job evaluation principles and benchmarking methodologies is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large volumes of data to ensure accurate insights and trends are highlighted
