Are you a positive and motivated individual who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Receptionist to join our team at Berrington Court- Extra Care.
As a receptionist, you’re the face of Community Housing. You’re on the front-line of our services, chatting to our customers face to face, over the phone and via email to help them resolve problems and answer any questions, creating a quality and seamless customer journey.
This is a part time post of 18.75 hours per week, working Monday-Wednesday.
The working pattern is as follows: Monday (Full day), Tuesday (Full day), Wednesday (Half Day).
Key responsibilities include:
Provide day-to-day operation of reception services.
Undertake accurate preparation of documents and correspondence.
Provide a range of other administration support duties.
Answer rent enquiries, providing support, advice, and signposting customers to our tenancy and income management teams.
Support and report repairs, helping customers to diagnose faults where possible.

What do we need from you? Well, it would be great if you have:
Previous experience working in a reception role.
Effective customer service skills with a strong customer focus, and an instinctive desire to ensure the customer is at heart of everything you do.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to empathise and deal sensitively with difficult situations, and the ability to convey information accurately and clearly to both colleagues and customers.
Ability to work under own initiative but also be an integral part of the Berrington Court Team.
Ability to demonstrate discretion and to handle confidential information sensitively.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload and activities to support the team.
Ability to remain calm in any confrontational situations.
Good level of ICT literacy.
In this role, you will be empowered to take ownership and responsibility of customer queries, so we are also looking for someone who has an inquisitive mind and will take a flexible attitude towards resolving problems to a successful conclusion, for both customers and colleagues.
As with any role it doesn't come without its challenges, so you'll need to be prepared to tackle some difficult situations. No day is ever the same in this role which will often include difficult cases, where your exceptional people skills will come into play to deliver a first contact resolution.
