The role will require you to have an interest in the environment and wanting to be part of future change in how we manage our waste. You will be involved in a wide range of duties from contract management, recycling initiatives, data analysis, environmental strategy, policy development and implementation, as well as supporting the in-house operation of Recycling Centres, Transfer Stations and Commercial Waste business.
An essential part of your job will be to build strong relationships with senior officers, external partners, internal colleagues and residents. You must be a confident communicator.
You will play an active role in the team in a supportive environment, and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, progress your career and contribute to the direction of the service as a whole.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes. Expected to be in place 2024.
