JOB DESCRIPTION
The Managed Strategy and Solutions teams' role is continuously evolving as new and exciting opportunities present themselves. However, at its core, you will provide extensive support for discretionary portfolio managers, encouraging solutions for everyday challenges as well as projects of varying scale and impact. In this role you will collaborate extensively day to day with key internal and external stakeholders – Technology, Projects, Data Management, Trade Support and Fund Management, among others.
Job Responsibilities
- Acting as a central point of contact - liaising with the key business partners across the organization and external vendors, including senior management
- Providing BAU support – incident investigation and management, including tactical and strategic fixes; assisting with non-core front office activities allowing the portfolio managers to focus on their primary activities; responding to ad hoc queries affecting front office’s activities
- Encouraging process improvement efforts – process re-engineering and automation, processes and controls efficiency gains, risk minimization and creation of efficient audit-ready environment.
- Acting as Subject Matter Experts – providing an in depth knowledge on systems and processes, managing significant projects and initiatives with a distinct Operations or Front Office impact.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Enthusiastic with excellent stakeholder management skills, including senior members
- Ability to quickly understand complex issues and react effectively, assuming ownership of issues and driving towards their resolution
- Inquisitive mindset with ability to challenge information and processes
- Capable in taking ownership with the ability to operate in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking is essential
- Team player with good communication skills, ability to work in collaboration building strong rapport with peers and stakeholders
- Excellent control and risk focus, with the ability to review processes and ensure suitable level of controls are in place
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in financial services
- Excellent data analysis and automation skills (MS Excel, Python, alteryx, Tableu) desirable
